HOPe’s Holiday Highlights!
December is arguably the most wonderful time of the year at House of Possibilities (HOPe) and each program celebrated the holidays in its own way. In Boston, we embraced the spirit with an outing to the "Snowport" market in the city’s Seaport District. Afterwards, we returned to our space at JVS and channeled our inner architects. We are grateful that Erin Lynch and her family shared their longstanding tradition of creating stunning gingerbread houses providing supplies for everyone to make their very own.
Members in our Easton Adult Program were delighted to attend a magical performance of The Nutcracker at the New Bedford Ballet. Additionally, before the Stonehill Best Buddies left for the semester, they gathered for a heartwarming celebration.
Later in the month, the Friday night social rec program held their annual holiday party generously hosted by the team at Village Speech. The group enjoyed some fun crafts and a movie along with hot chocolate and festive treats. We also celebrated Spirit Week leading up to Christmas with different themes including Character Day and Pajama Day.
HOPe's inaugural Holiday Reception was a resounding success! Guests of all ages delighted in a fun array of activities including creating snow globes and ornament crafting as well as a whimsical face painting station and an exhilarating indoor "snowball" fight. The highlight, of course, was a special visit from the jolly old elf himself – Santa Claus!
We hope you and your loved ones had a joyous holiday season and are off to a fantastic start in the New Year!
